Evaluation Question 4

In the terms of demographic profiling my target audience will range age wise from 16 to 30 years old. They will be from a working class to middle class background (E, D, C1, C2), and will not sway to any gender. The stereotypical reader will go to gigs and festivals and will also spend the majority of their money on travel, clothes and music products. This puts the magazine in good stead as they have no problem spending money on music products and this is what a music magazine is.

My mood board that I have produced shows what a typical reader of my magazine purchases and consumes frequently. As you can see from the CD, the iPod, and the band pictures and covers music is a very influential sector of their life. This is integral to attracting a vast target audience that is likely to spend money on a magazine. From my mood board the typical reader would be classed as living a faultless teen life.

The reason why this person I have described will buy my magazine is because the content and the aesthetics are what is suited to them. As you can see from the mood board there is not many bright and vibrant colours, mainly natural ambient colours such as beige. This is what I have integrated into my magazine style as I have gone with a black and white theme with the brightness coming from the odd addition of red. From a glance this is what you seen from my mood board and I believe I have captured this well.
